The wins …

  • David and his wife had their first 👶baby bandit. Meet Fred!

  • I launched our new 🪖weekly strategy series, Robert Greene’s 33 Strategies of War Adapted to B2B. Read the first 10 strategies here. Currently read by over 7,000 B2B leaders.

… and the losses

  • Failed to finish the 📙Yakuza book by the end of the year. I’ve since bought a pile of Yakuza history books to put more history-meat on the bone.

  • Took some hits during the email deliverability ☢️ ‘apocalypse’ over the summer. We’re good to go now, overprepared for the next wave of inbox-drama.

  • Late to the game on 🤖 AI - it felt super sus in our early experiments. Made a few radical shifts to the business, accelerating internal processes to make room in our operations for more human-to-human interaction.

Reboot

We’ve been using the START v STOP v CONTINUE planning hack - ‘stolen’ from Anthony Iannarino - for over 10 years now.

  1. Selling time. You may have noticed our hourly programs have (almost) disappeared.

  2. Working with pre-revenue anything. We’re not good enough to dominate there.

  3. Playing fair fights in the agency world.

  1. Mastering ‘surround sound’ production by amplifying campaign impacts via deliberate channel interplay, e.g., LinkedIn Ads + Voicemail + Cold Email.

  2. “Propping open the exit door” - no long-term contracts, all agreements with an easy out, and training in-house teams on everything they paid for.

  3. Rocking our unapologetically human vibes.
